The Secular Society
The agency offers the visitors a place where they can reflect upon secular identity and Christian tradition. The Secular Society finds its point of departure in the assumption that the need for spirituality exists beyond sacral spaces, and consequently, that other kind of spaces are required for the benefit of those who due to secular tradition don’t have access to the spiritual life offered by religion.
Co-produced by Dramatiska Institutet (graduation project) and LAT/Lindholmen.
”An odd experience was the conceptual piece 'Secular Society', created by Linn Hilda Lamberg, Stefan Åkesson and Tormod Otter Johansson. The audience is received one by one into the mystic society whose reticent staff and interiors are retrieved from the European 40´s – 50´s. The visitors face life and death in different meditative rooms during one hour embossed by surprising earnestness and precise irony”
